blu-ray dvd player
I recently upgraded to the hd tv.And i've thinking about getting a blu ray dvd player.Does a movie on the hd tv look better with a blu ray player compared to a reqular dvd player?
|
Yes sir it sure does! At least we notice a difference with our set up. The sounds is way better through HDMI as well.
|
Get you a ps3 they are the BEST blu ray player available! You can also play dvds. Wouldnt trade mine for anything.
And yes it looks 10x better, its amazing how good it actually looks! |
BLUE-RAY players are cheap now, you can buy one for less than $99:tu:

I did the switch this summer, and this is the best way I can describe it ....
You remember when we did the switch from VHS to DVD's? Well the switch from DVD's to Blu-Ray is even better than that. The sound, the picture clarity ..... you will not only see things you've missed, but if you've got a really good sound system you'll even hear some things you haven't. -Kris |
Also get yourself a good HD surround Sound system. Digital DTS HD sounds Amazing.

It's got HDMI out, digital audio out if you want to use a DTS Surround Sound system, and you can always play some kick a** games on it, too. Or if you have DSL/cable internet, the PS3 will do NetFlix now. -Kris |
Just buy a name brand that you like. You can get a good one for just over $100.
|
I'm a Samsung guy. The TV and Blue Ray player link to one another and work very well together. I also think Samsung makes excellent products all around.
|
Good luck out of my Phillips surround sound so far :tu:
|
My surround sound is Yamaha. I'm still using an old school Magnavox Blu-Ray Player.

I don't think you can go wrong with any player. Some just have more features and some take a little bit more time to load. My dad bought a Vizio from WalMart for around $130 and it has wireless internet built in so he can stream Netflix to his HDTV. This is a very nice option if you want a lot of movies.

That sounds like a dang good deal, I love Netlix on my Xbox. Of course if you want the all in one package get a PS3, but that a bit more expensive than a blueray with wireless built in.

Ya buy a PS3 so a hacker can still your Credit Card info.... lol lol lol

That's only if you use them to game online and are buying stuff from the PlayStation Network, which is easily fixed by getting pre-paid PSN cards from Wal-Mart. -Kris |

PlayStation network is down right now so it doesnt matter anyways. I know you can still watch Netflix, but you're not supposed to :humm:
|
All I was trying to say is that you don't need to spend $299 or $399 on a Blu Ray Player
|
