I Hate The Dentist...
 

I am leaving in 30 minutes to go to the dentist... To have 4 cavities filled (yes, I have crappy teeth, Thanks MOM) ... I absolutely HATE the dentist, and I am really not looking forward to this. The biggest debate is white fillings or silver... The Wife says white, because she has to look at them, I say silver, because they are like $40 cheaper EACH... But.. I guess I will be getting white.

Thats what Im doin'. Im 24 so I think ive got a few years left in the OEM ones.

I went on Tuesday for the first time in probably 12 years....:w2:

I have 3 cavities to get filled next month and that will also be part 2 of the cleaning that I initially went in for.

They did say that for me not being in for 12 years they said my teeth were in pretty good shape so I musta been doing something right..:U:

yes, we have dental insurance, but they only cover $1500 a year.. after these 4 fillings I am having done, we will be maxed out.. and I will have to get the rest done after Jan. 1. 4 more fillings, 2 root canals and 2 crowns... and the thief dentist wants to pull out my wisdom teeth, even though they have been there for years and never given me any trouble... My guess is, he just wants more money.

Actually because you have insurance he is less likely to want to do them just for the money. Insurance companies do not pay Doctors 1/2 of what the doctors charge to the people without insurance. It is a racket, either you accept insurance and get paid 50% or you don't accept insurance and have a 20% chance of even getting paid anything from the patients.

My Uncle is a dentist and he hates the way these insurance companies nickel and dime them.

dentist is easy.......just ignor them

I havent had a shot in the mouth since I was 26................I do mind control and they do what they want..................a year ago I broke an eye tooth in the front off at the gum line..went in and had the root chisled out...yep hammer and chisle then they drilled it out and installed a implant......now in another month they will screw a new fake unit on there,

No need for shots my ASS.... I guess I am a wimp, but I NEED drugs to survive those trips... I made it back from this one, and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I just question the motives, since I have had these wisdom teeth in for years, and they have never bothered me once. I was told by my previous dentist that wisdom teeth only get pulled if they are going to cause a problem or are bothering the patient.
