It's now time for one of the last installments of my beef jerky making process. After you put the sliced eye of the round in the dehydrator take the leftover marinade inside. Mix with hamburger until you get a nice consistency.
Attachment 59550 Attachment 59551 Let that sit overnight. Now go out the next morning and take the dried roast out. Attachment 59552 Attachment 59553 Attachment 59554 Now the next step involves something that I know Cabela's sells (that's where I got mine) and it's called a jerky pistol and can be found ... here ---->http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...stol&noImage=0 Once again, spray the racks with nonstick spray, then apply the meat to the racks. Attachment 59555 Attachment 59556 Now the same time and temperatures apply to this. I use 140 for 4 hours. There will be one more post to show the results of the strips. Hope you all enjoyed. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- bump for update. |

tastes even better. After a few days in a sealed ziploc bag it starts to soften up a little to where it's not so hard. But it tastes so good. I hadn't made any in about three months. Used to make it once a week. But I finally got a wild hair and went on ahead and did some up.

I am definitely gonna try makin some that way. I've messed around with jerky a little bit, but I have never heard of marinating it. Looks awesome. Thanks Phil for the good info.
