Mexican drug violance will effect our fuel supply/price
Mexican Drug Violence Threatens U.S. Energy Supply, Edmonds Says: Tech Ticker, Yahoo! Finance
Edmonds believes this dire situation could have very big ramifications for U.S. energy supply. “Pemex has abandoned three or four meaningful gas production fields in Northern Mexico as a result of rampant gang violence,” he says, referring to Mexico’s state-owned oil and gas company. Mexico is currently U.S.’s second largest supplier of crude oil and natural gas, behind Canada. If things continue to go south, energy prices in the U.S. could skyrocket even more than they already have. |
