I think its a brillient ider but he does need to filter the exhaust befor it goes back in man....think about it :5: lil common sense goes a long ways dude :U:

So, um, I hate to sound ignorant... But why exactly won't it work? Sounds like a good idea to me...

for the same reason you suffocate to death in a sealed room, OXYGEN is needed to make fuel burn.

DangerousDuramax 11-12-2007 09:01 PM

Pumping a hot spent carbon into an engine that is already trying to fight BTU's is not a good idea. One of the first mods I did to my DMax was to by-pass the PCV and EGR system because they radically increase the IAC not to mention fill the CAC and tubes with oil. At 170* IAC we start to have big issues. Pumping a 1300* spent carbon into the intake will have some pretty nasty results. CAI's are your friend.

well then I guess what we need to do is on the downstream side of the filter we need to install an oxygenator to bring the combustion process up to snuff eh???......without ignition we will have no ignitor correct ?????

2001shrtbedcummins 11-12-2007 09:07 PM

pure oxygen would cause very bad pre-ignition

Whit 11-12-2007 09:14 PM

I dunno.....we used to have a 12 million cubic foot a day nitrogen rejection machine that supplied a reaction furnace with a slip stream of 98% pure oxygen.............we slipped it in with the air of the blowers and had a total concintration of up to 28% oxygen content....fire got hotter real quick then we could add more acid gas.......bottom line is more oxygen means give it more fuel

So lets get this here oxygen added to the lil motor and help this guy out ..................how we gonna cool this here exhaust/intake down from 1300*................I think we need an ice chest in here some where

DangerousDuramax 11-12-2007 09:16 PM

Everyone is missing the most important point. The number one fight in an internal combustion engine is to shed BTU's and get the heat out. In testing we've seen very poor performance issues when the IAC approached 170*F. If you pump 1300*F worth of spent carbon into the intake on an engine your going to see catastrophic results. Tear into your EGR system and you will be shocked at what you see even after just 2K. CAI's are your friend.

so we should prolly move on and do like dry ice since it gets so much colder upon expansion....that co2 will be some good shit man
