Question, Droid X or Droid 2.....
Going to upgrade next month, do I go with a Droix X or the Droid 2
And why??? |
i like my droid x. didnt really feel the need to have a flip out key board.
|
wait. if you want a slider the htc merge will be out VERY soon, and incredible HD will be out beginning of next year.

I have the Droid 2 and love it.

Im just going to throw this out there. the keys on the keypad for the droid x are actually bigger than the keyboard on the droid 2...if that is a concern. It always is for me.
|
I'll be upgrading from a BB Curve...Daughter has a LG Alley and it's nice, but the battery life not so wonderful...don't know if I really want a keyboard or not. Playing around with the X and the 2, the X has it for screen size, web surfing and you tube, but the keyboard on the BB Curve is really nice, otherwise it stinks.... Played with a droid pro...do not like the feel of or the keyboard.

One Click Root now available for the Droid 2 and Droid X.
Root gives you free wireless tether and overclocking :rocking: |
I have a Droid 2 and I love it. That being said, my girlfriend will probably get the X next month. Personally, I hate (like really hate) touch keyboards, so the D2 is perfect for me.
Another thought is Verizon is getting the Droid Pro this month. That is the most like the BB. It seems like a cool phone! |

The free wireless tething I can understand, but I also understand ya can download a free program & do this as well. Does this void any warranty? |
Re: Question, Droid X or Droid 2.....
You can download a program to tether through your usb cable but you have to be rooted to use wireless tether. Rooting just gives you superuser access to your phone. I use a low voltage overclock program that increases my battery life.

Work computers all have bing....been using it for a few weeks and dang, I hate it...so ain't going to get anything that uses bing...
Don't know if a non computer/phone stud like Rampy could ever figure out the root/over speeding thing without destroying the phone... |
Re: Question, Droid X or Droid 2.....
Its not that bad to Root.

Still bouncing back and forth between the droidX and the Droid 2
Do lots of texting...between the wife, kids and friends easily do 50-75 text messages a day.....while I only use the phone for 10-15 min a month if that... Chances are will do lots on the web as well.....and use the phone as a hard wired antenna for the computer to hit the web with when in areas we don't or can't find free wifi.... |
