5 Guys Burgers
 

I've heard whispers that the place was shooting for In-N-Out, so I had to check it out.

They have no shakes.

Their fries are horrible. I had the "Cajun" style ones, which consisted of generic thick-cut fries with a ton of generic "Cajun Spice" seasoning unevenly on top of them. All I could taste was overpowering, uneven Cajun powder. I had no desire to eat any after the first.

Their burger is good, but it isn't proportioned as coherently as a Double-Double. It is bigger than a Double-Double, and they have more topping options, but it's just everything you order thrown onto a bun... It was a sloppy affair that came apart in my hands, too much tomato sliding everything about, and the buns got paper-thin after it soaked up the meat grease. Double-Double's have the special spongy dough that doesn't get grease-logged nearly as quick, and while they're smaller they're compact, dense little things put together just right to make sure that you're not chasing the bun with the patty or vice-versa. And they're idiosyncratic; there isn't another burger on the planet that could be mistaken for a Double-Double, the 5 Guy's burger was more like something I could make on the grill myself.


In-N-Out has absolutely nothing to worry about 5 Guys. I wasn't too impressed.

Hell yeah.....In-N-Out is still #1 no doubt.

only in-and-out we have here is in bed after the lights go out. 5 guys i think is pretty good.

mmmmmmmm, wish we had in n out here. I put down at least 5 DDs every time i go home to cali.

Yup no in and out, 5 guys is about as good as it gets for fast food burgers around here. Must be a cali thing to put Cajun Spice on the fries, ive never had that at any one ive been in.

No in and out or 5 guys around here, Bill Grays has good burgers though, we have a Red Robbin wich everyone said was supposed to be good, but I thought it sucked :c:

I hate that stupid in and out secret lingo crap!!! The fries suck, and the burgers are tiny!! Just my two cents

In & Out? 5 Guys? Red Robbin? Bill Grays? What are these restaurants you speak of?


Everyone around here is still excited that we have a Denny's in town now. lol
