How do I not get ripped off for eye glasses?
I need a new couple pairs of eye glasses, a pair of sunglasses and a pair of regular glasses. I love my optometrist because she's gorgeous, but something tells me there's a way to get a pair of Raybans frames and lenses for less than $360? $700 out the door for two pairs of glasses just seems like I'm buying somebody a new car.
What's the right way to buy glasses? Anybody ever go through an online supplier?

I don't do contacts.
I'd like to keep to "good" pairs of glasses, it's less of a fashion-statement thing than a durability and comfort thing. The Ray-Bans in particular that the optometrist's professionally gay receptionist handed me are the only prescription sunglasses I've ever tried on that have a halfway decent fit around my eyes. As far as regular glasses I don't care as much, but I'm not too fond of nose pads falling off every three weeks and lenses popping out on their own accord.
