Default Jobs in Texas

Hey, I recently graduated from JDU at garden city community college and since i've got back to my dealership(western equipment in amarillo), they've been screwing me. They haven't given me a raise like they said id get and they just treat me like crap. They have me doing more complex things than the other kids that came out of the program. I'm rebuilding a 13.5L engine right now. But the other kids make more than I do and that doesn't seem right to anybody I've talked to. I was jw if ya'll knew of any jobs somewhere in texas that paid more than what i make now. My job doesn't even pay me enough really to make my pickup payment. I know quite abit about diesels, from fixing my pickups mostly . I'm a hard worker, Love to learn, would rather have a more physically demanding job than I do now. I'm JD certified in Hyd, Powertrains, Engines, Service Advisor, Fuel Systems, and Electrical. I'd like to stay in the Panhandle but I'll move anywhere for the right job. May even relocate to another part of the southwest. Thank ya'll in advance
Zach.

My husband works for international. They usually make the new guys start as hourly for the first month or so at only around$15 a hour then if your doing your job right and busting your butt they move you to commission which is around $33 a hour. That's atleast what they did with my husband. But that's in Dallas and from what they say that dealership is one of the highest payed in Texas.

Geez... I'd walk out and tell them to shove it! That definitely sounds unfair.

I would do that if i had another job lined up. but since i do not have one then i should probably not do that. and when i look in the job sites and can never find anything for just being a mechanic and all that.
