Need Help Setting Screensaver With Vista
Anybody have any f......n clue how to get the Dieselbombers screensaver to install as a screensaver. Everytime I click install it says "Error Number 75 Path/File Access Error"

Im using vista and it worked fine .... Unzip the file again

Well i have installed it on an xp and a vista and it works fine .................
(Researching) Question: Error 75 (Path File Access Error) Solution: This error can be caused by insufficient permissions to files or folders. Verify that you have full read and write permissions to the folders and files within the NTE folder. Make sure that there is at least 250 MB of free space on the server in which your NTE folder is located. Also be sure that the NTE folder is shared and that the currently logged in user has permissions to read and write to the share. This error can also be caused by antivirus software inhibiting the transfer of data. Try temporarily disabling antivirus software before retrying. You Must be on an administrator account do this: right-click on the file and click on the "Security" tab - then click through the various categories to determine what accounts and users have write access to those files Try this stuff above |
I've got full permissions in my administrator account, and my personal account.. Still isn't working.

It told me that one time I clicked on it again and it worked fine maybe I was lucky lol

Get that one over and over, security tab looks good any other ideas

I figured it out, I ran is as the administator and it wprked which doesn't make any since cause I'm on the administrator account anyway, everything I do shoud be as the "administrator" but who am I to argue with Bill Gates. Anyway, it work now. Thanks for the help

Got it figured out. Turning user account control off worked, and now I have the DB screensaver. Just go to the start button, and in the search field, type user account control and it will come up in search. You can turn it off from there, and wala, it should work fine. Mine did at least.. and now I have a sweet DB screen saver!

I still can not figure it out here. My computer has a vista sticker but startup shows windows 2000 i think. I know that mine is because of the tight security settings that they have installed on my laptop. They are very creative here, I cannot access my personal e-mail, youtube, etc. I guess that I will just have to enjoy it at home and hope that the next one works for some reason. Or I might just wait until the next one comes out and go into IT and get them to put it on. :)

YOu have to run the install from the admin account on your puter
