Tabbaco
Well yesterday my girlfriend was at a friends house and they called me and asked me how hard is it to quit chewing. I said it is very addicting cause it tastes so dam good and feels awesome on the instead of your lip. I told her I already went threw a half a can today. They about flipped. I started when i was about 14, (I'm 17 now) my dad started when he was in the 4th grade. I'm not proud that I chew but its somethin I grew up and got addicted to but I guess chewing is better than doing any drug.I personaly like copenhagen long cut and snuff and sometimes redman.
What are all yals thoughts and idea's about chew and how young you started and what kind you like?? This should be a interesting thread...I hope |
started at 19, 24 now. been tryin to quit, had a good break during hunting season(deer jerkey was good alternative) but still slowed way down. down to can every other day or so. normally chew skoal straight or cope straight. i do like the new cope natural also.
|
Only been chewing for about three years now, but I love Grizzly Straight!
|
Anyone else?? Whats the nastyst chew everyone else has had. Skoal was nasty for me. I had the orignal copenhagen were you sniff it up your nose it hurt like hell but tasted dam good
|
Been chewin for well over 20 years now. Quite while you can, the price is to high. In addition to the prices now that are so insane it takes a heavy toll over the years. My stomach is all jacked up. I take prescription meds daily to control ulcer problems, most likely cause from chewin, and go for weeks at a time when i have to switch over to usin tea bags instead of chew because the chew leaves me doubled over in pain. Through all this i still can't quite. I've tried hypnosis, patches and gum and pure will power and as stupid as it is, I haven't been able to kick it yet.
All this doesn't even take into consideration, that there's nothin sexy or attractive to the women about it. Nobody I've ever dated or been married to has ever seen me chew. If I expect them to kiss me ten they shouldn't have to see me with crap in my mouth. |
been chewing off and on for about 4 years now. skoal straight is my favorite. i switch it up quite a bit though. i like the friuty stuff sometimes.

Guys I work with out in the field chew Beech Nut, or Skoal. But I never touched the crap or even took a drag off a cig. Call me a puss, I don't care. :pca1: Just one less addiction and nasty habit to pay for in my view. :tu:

:yum:I got started on Skoal Spearmint. in the light blue can....( That $%!T could gag a maggot) At 15 I found the nectur of the Gods (Copenhagen) and was up to about 1to 2 cans a day until an insurance man told me that he could get me Non-Smoker Rates if I could be off Tobacco for 30 days.:scare2: I did it with the help of every possible concoction I could find (Baccoff and Smokey Mountain Chew were the best, But they still suck:dang:) Was free for 3 more months until I decided that I was big enough to try just one dip. I finished that can the next day. 5yrs later and I am back on the wagon again. Time to re-up my life insurance policy. It has been almost 5 days without "My Preccious" and so far I am still alive.:argh:
|
You spelled Tobacco wrong! :argh:
Used to use Copenhagen but it got too expensive. Now it's Grizzly fine cut. I can get 2 cans for the price of one Copenhagen. Been dippin for over 25 years. |

I have off and on since I was 16 and started out with Hawkin and occasionally red man now I really like the new Cope wintergreen long cut. I go thru a can about every three days. The worst for me was when cherry Skoal came out got sicker than hell off of that stuff and now cant hardly even look at a can with out gettin sick.
|
Been 25 years, started with Hawken when I was 13, been a Cope Long cut man for 15 years now.
Used to be 1/2 a can a day, got my promotion 2 years ago and slowly creeping up on 2 cans. I won't say were I get it but it's half price on the shelf and they honor my $5 off 5 can Cope couponson top of that.:tu: Not real proud of it, 4th generation chewer and the worst thing I have every tried to quit. Chantix didn't work either time, tried Mint chew, Cold turkey didn't work..................... |

I chew a little, 3-4 times/day; I like twists or "chaw." Never could get used to snuff. Oh BTW, I'm a spitter, not a swallower. :scare2: |
like uncle bubba said quit while you can chewed now off and on 30 yrs started off with cope and about ten yrs ago swapped to mint skoal so i could quit cope lotta good that did me 2 cans on a good day 2 1/2 cans on a bad day now i pay almost 19 dollars for a five can roll if i add it up it scares me on how much i spend on a habit almost think smoking left handed ciggies would be cheaper :w2:

I disagree with that. MJ is better than anything including tobacco when used in moderation. And it's not physically addictive. Chewing tobacco is going to f--- up your mouth man.

The risk of serious oral cancer is not to neglect.
Chances to survive the first three years are around 5 to 9%... Have seen people with removed jaw, not funny at all because they have to take away a safety distance of 1 inch. Hey, don't do drugs or tobacco- just fill up your Diesel and push the hammer down!:rocking: searched for some shocking cancer pictures- but they are not shocking enough... |
