Yeah, they do that alot at the dunes up in north Louisiana. I heard one guy crossed the whole lake over there. I've done a small section of the lake and it's kinda cool.

When I lived in Minnesota a couple of friends got brand new ski doo 800's and decided to skim the rivers and stuff and they did it without drowning them
