MX racing

anyone on here race a 2 smoker in MX? I used to be a pretty good desert racer when I lived in CA, now I'm here in MT like 4 years later and thinking about getting into MX next season. I've got people to help me learn MX, but I'm wondering what I should run for parts. I'm starting with a bone stock 03 CR125, I used to race minis and this was my recreation riding bike. Desert was always wide open, or just clutching into the powerband in tight spots, so I'm lost on mx setup, mainly exhaust and controls. My only brand loyalties are tag metals and fmf exhaust. here's what I'm thinking, and let me know if this stuff doesn't make much difference racing mx. I'm a full time college student, but may be able to get some financial help.
Tag bars
tag upper clamp
fatty pipe
power core II silencer
V force reed cage
local suspension shop to do my forks

Suggestions? pretty much the same setup i ran on my race bike, minus desert/xc parts. Like I said I really don't know anything about mx parts. All my racing has been one foot an the peg, one foot smacking a rock rock, wide open hanging on for dear life. :scare2:
