A Journalist's Guide

Here's a helpful flow chart I found that helps journalists figure out what "cop-killing-assault-weapon" was used when they cover a "gunman" story where a "mass gunman guns someone down with an assault gun".

Sad but true!

I didn't see 9mm semi-automatic anywhere on there.
I guess theres only 3 types of guns, assault weapons, hunting rifles, and 9mm semi-automatics.
Oh yeah, anytime theres more than 3 shots, they are spraying bullets around.

Cops are beginning to worry me, a story on the news last night had a nut job waving a gun in a road rage type deal and then the cops are called in the chase started, the perp jumped out of the car and never fired a shot just ran toward his apartment.

The cops fired 20 shots, hit everything but what they supposed to, because they were in fear of their life was the story, a few rounds went through an office building and over the heads of the people sitting in there.

I thing we need to detune the cops a little, starting a fire fight over nothing, sounds like the bouncers we use to have in a local club years back, they wouldn't stop fights, they would start more trouble just to take over the beating.

I told them if they ever pulled that shit on me or anyone I know, they never get to see me sent to prison, must have worked.

You're... Just now coming to this conclusion?

Cops are allowed to be infinitely more reckless with firearms than any mere "citizen" can think about being.

the thing that worries me about cops is the fact that they are a terrible shot. dont they get taught how to aim and shoot any more just fire like crazy.

While there are plenty of good people that wear the badge, many are willing and even eager to push the limits of their high level of immunity, which is given them by us the voters and the unions' lawyers. Here in California especially, the cops and criminals(plea deals) are FAR less likely to face hard penalties while a law abiding citizen legally using a firearm is prosecuted to the max.

A major issue is that most cops are not repetitively trained to fight, think and shoot under stress until they get into special tactics units. It's mind boggling that many professional businessmen that I know who have carry permits do far more self defense and firearms training than the average officer does and yet they're a million times more scrutinized if they do have to defend themselves with lethal force.

Yep, and they're ALL "automatics."

Thats the sad part they are all automatics in more than one way the gun is so just pull the trigger and start sprayin lead around. and so are the (some) cops just automatic to start sprayin lead not really point and make a good shot just empty the mag. IDK:humm:
