I have a 96 Yamahaha vmax 600 dx lt in the shed bought it new in 97 run it for about 4 yrs and then new laws came out around here ,the gov. took over the trail pass system and made it manditory for pass on any sled off your property and in true gov. fashion tripled the price of the pass's so I only take it out maybe once a year for a late night trail run :w2:

I had an 06 Skidoo REV MXZ600 adrenaline last year but had a bunch of problems so I fixed it and traded it for a dirtbike in the spring. Me and my dad just picked up two '08 Yamaha Phazer RTX's. One has 300km's and the other 400km's. They were bought last year so they still have warranty. I'm getting real anxious to bring em out as it is snowing everywhere but here right now.

I hope I like the thing...... anyone else know someone that has one, cause I dont. I just race yamaha motorcycles and was brought up on em, and I like the idea of the 4stroke dirtbike style sled so I put it in my mind to find one.

Lemmie know what you all have to say about em..... and I know they only go about 70mph. I'm hoping I can look past that.

The RTX's are good trail sleds. They could use a little more bite in the skis for more aggressive riding.

I've been looking for a used RMK in good shape this last year. I almost bought a ski doo 700 I think last year, but it was 4200 which was more than I wanted to spend on something I've never done before.

So just after I wrote this I couldnt take it anymore and went to the farm to go get the sled out and ready for the snow that is apparently coming this weekend. I noticed it was a little rough on the 1/4mile ride to my garage and looked at it compared to my old man's which is identical and mine is sitting about 8" lower than his. It has 488km's on it so it aint even broke in yet and it was driven by a 50yr old farmer who said it was too fast for him and his wife so thats why he was selling them.... and I got the one the wife was driving, granted she was a bigger gal but couldnt be more than 190lb(no she wasnt 6'4" either)

So long story short I am cursed so now I gotta tear the rear suspension apart and take it all in tomorrow FML :argh:

Just good trail sleds? Damn I was hoping they could take a bit of a beating as I tend to be a little rough on my toys. Those fox shox I thought were a pretty good set up on the skis but the rear just look like a bit better than any other factory set up. I hope I dont have to spend a ton of cash on an upgrade.

Matt, there is one on craigslist here that looks to be in awesome shape.
2005 Polaris RMK 800 159"

I have an 03 Polaris RMK 800 151. Haven't bought a new one because I just don't ride like I used to. The wife quit to have babies but our oldest is nine now so next year he'll have his own and then the whole family will be going again. Couple pics.
