Calling All Proffesionals and Business Owners

Do you own a business, hold a special license or even just work in a profession that you may be able to offer advice in or just want to advertise your services in.

I know we have a large population of business owners and professionals here so now's your chance to be proud of it, maybe pick up a little business or even just offer some advice to somebody in need of a few answers. here's your chance to advertise yourself.

Post yourself up here.:jump::jump::c:

That's my brother's new house we completely remodeled it, I did the plumbing, some electric, I getting to old to spend all day in a attic, drywall, finishing and paint.

The room above use to have a wall down the middle and we ripped the mother out the first thing to open the house.

Since we put the big garden tub in we had to include a shower too, since we were limited in size we plumbed it through the ceiling with a finished down rod to stop splash and give him room to step out of the flow to get soaped up.

PhilipR 12-01-2009 01:58 PM

I'm a Truss Designer....I do Ag, Commercial and Residential Roof and Floor trusses along with some Wood I joist and LVL beam design.

Wyatt Earp 12-01-2009 02:16 PM

This is great.

A couple suggestions: if the list grows big enough you may want to list categories or something like that?

Anyway,

I'm a certified structural design technician registered in the province of BC with a master's in project management. I am also a member of the PMI (project management institute).

To say I build things is well close but not 100% the truth. I generally get people to build things for me and my clients. So you could say I'm a construction manager.

I know a thing or 2 about burning oil too but that's another story.:c:

jfoose 12-01-2009 02:22 PM

I am a environmental scientist with a environmental engineering firm out of Greenville, SC. Services include : wetland delineation, 404/401 permitting, mitigation banking, stream restoration, asbestos air sampling, and asbestos abatement surveys. The company does a wide range of engineering services in addition to the services I perform. I am also a NC registered forester, NC Real Estate Broker (not active, referrals only), and SC licensed commercial pesticide applicator. Just PM me with questions. Thanks.

06 DIESEL 12-01-2009 06:47 PM

I work in construction management, but used to own my own residential remodeling company. I know a thing or two about cabinet installation, laminate counter tops, molding (base and crown), replacement doors, storm doors, replacement windows, tile, and hardwood. If you got a question feel free to ask. I still do most of these items on the side when time permits.

I am going to have to remember this. Although I am thinking more along the lines of a steel building, do you design their roof systems also?

Haven't done anything with steel buildings yet. I have played with the steel truss software but we don't build them. I assume you are looking at "commercial" steel style (General Steel).

K50 12-02-2009 12:45 PM

Aside from my day job, I'm a semi-professional musician. I primarily do guitar and vocals. I'm currently unemployed as such, just a small gig in the new year lined up doing solo stuff, but working on getting another band started soon.

What do you want to know about structural steel? I've done both pre-eng and stick built systems from 1,000 sqft to over 1,000,000 sqft.

My wife is an RAHT with a VTS in ECC. She is currently at teacher for one of the Tech Vet programs here in Canada. In some cases, she knows more about emergency and critical care than the Vet's do. It is very cool.
