Went Shooting & It Was Good.....

had to take the new Springfield TRP out and start the break in process, can't shoot any closer than 25yards on this range so that's where we started & ran through 200rds of wolf ammo. Had stripped the TRP down & lubed her up with SLiP 2000 prior to hitting the range & then applied a little more at about the 100rd mark just to keep her wet..

25 yard target...

Used Wolf ammo & 4 McCormick mags & 2 Springfield mags

Shooting a tad left for me, this is after loading up all mags & dumping em as fast as I could at 25 yards:

not bad, howd that wolf run in that gun? Ive had issues with some of their ammo, particularly 9mm when running in new guns.

Wolf ran great, it was not nearly as dirty as I'd been lead to believe. Had 4 failures to eject, the casing was extracted but never ejected. 3 times on a Springfield mag & once on a McCormick mag. Don't know if it was a mag related issue or a steel casing one or what.

Did they stovepipe or hang up on the extractor horizontally?

No stovepipe at all, the steel case rim was still under the extractor up against the face of the bolt & it was like the slide did not have enough force to eject the case. The empty case stripped a round from the mag & slid it into the chamber, but then the slide stopped due to the empty case sitting horizontally directly behind the loaded chamber.

I'm a guessing it had more to do with the steel cases than anything.

That's what I was curious about......had a similar issue in my P220 with the steel cased Wolf.
