That looks like something I have done with a dump truck a few times.

Ya I had to push the guy back upright with the loader cause he forgot to open the end gate before he raised the bed. From the look on his face as he was goin up I bet he'll never do that again.

I was running #2 dry base and it was my forth load in a row. We were laying it at about 12” so I had my chains set at about 8”. They were compacting and wetting it on site.

So I pulled up on site and backed in to where the next load was going to go. I popped the gate and started to raise the bed. I left a little pile, started to pull off, I kept tilting the bed back, and all of a sudden I felt the whole load shift; not like it should have slid but like one solid chunk. I grabbed the lever to put the bed back down but at that point it was too late and I was staring at the sun. I had a pucker factor 10 at the time.

The guy in the loader put me back on all my wheels and I dropped the bed all the way down. We climbed up into the bed and I had a 4 ton chunk that was like concrete. I took it back to the quarry and told the manager what had happened and when I dropped the chunk out of the truck and didn’t break apart I got a credit for about half of what we got from them for the day.

Bet thats not a fun feeling at all just hang on for the ride huh?:ohno::ohno:

Driving a dump truck is like having a heavy child on your back as it is. But flipping over back words is a hell of a ride because it’s slow and there’s nothing you can do.

Yea ill bet real slow when i was drivin trucks pulled all kinds of different trailers but never a rockbucket the guy i drove for had an older dump truck with about a 10ft or so dump on it fairly small just used it around the yard a few times but never hauling any distance or much weight just fixing the pot holes and haulin garbage off could only imagine havin one flip up backwards like that what a feeling
