have you ever been working on your truck and gotten so frustrated you use every name in the cussword manual and then went duuuu for dumbass because you wasnt using the best tool for what you are doing :notworking::edit::edit::rake:come on people dont tell me i am the only one that forgets to remove his :asshat: every now & then

no you are not but i have found that after fighting:madd: the balnked blank thing:argh: whatever the case may be that i am working on. I just need to step back leave it alone have a cig calm down then reasess the situation:humm: and then it seems to all fall together and thats when i say:duh3::duh3::rolleyes2:

Ya like when a few years ago my door was frozen shut with ice. I tried the anti ice spray stuff, a blow dryer and finally a soldering torch and blistered a few paint spots while i was at it but nothin would un-stick it. I finally looked through the window and noticed the door was locked.:ph::ph::ph::ph::ph::ph:

I had a pete 387 a couple months ago w/ inop. turn signals. I replaced the switch, all the bulbs, rewired the whole steering colume still nothing. :argh: Then my buddy came over swaped out the relay and they worked perfect. Sometimes all it takes is a 2nd set of eyes. :pals:
(anybody that ever worked on a 387 nows what a wiring nighmare they are espically when you work for a shop thats too cheap to buy wiring diagrams, damn i love my power probe :tu: )

I know that feeling I have a tendency to jump to the worst possible problem and start working towards it then someone comes along and is like um did you try this :argh: and its always something stupid that you wouldn't normally think of.

like having to drain and drop the tank out of my old 4runner 2 different times on the side of the road before my buddy decided to inform me that there was an access panel under the rear seat

I spent about a half hour packing up my shop truck to drive about 15 miles one way to find a store, ANY store, that sold tools so I could find a 12pt 1/2" drive 5/8" shallow socket that I thought was lost...

...then I drove back to the job site, unpacked all my junk again, pulled out my ratchet, found out it was too long, then climbed back down off the unit to walk over to my shop truck and grab my shorter 1/2" drive ratchet, which I rarely ever use.

...which had a 12pt 5/8" shallow socket attached securely to the drive end....same place it was last time I did the same damn job.
