The swine flue is a mix of H1N1, H1N2, H3N1, H3N2, and H2N3.

We had H1N1 in 1918 and between 50 to 100 million died world wide.
We had H1N2 in 1988 an 1989 but no death info on it.
We had H2N3 has no real info.
We had H3N1 has no real info.
We had H3N2 in 1968 and killed 33,800 people.

The regular flu kills on average 41,400 people in the US every year.
