How Many Miles a Year?

How many miles a year do you take your trucks? I'm doing research for a proposal at work and I'm competing to prove diesels are better than cars not only in emissions but also in longevity.

about 25 a year...not alot but, i know people who have put well over 50k in a year and thats just DD not using it for making money like hot shotting and what not...

About 18k a year back and forth to work and goin here and there. Go diesels now after owning one for only 1 1/2 months (always been pro diesel though) will not ever get anything but a diesel now.

Hell I put at least 25k on my dodge every year and it seems like I never drive it. I put 50k a year on my diesel work truck every year.

My mileage goes up and down depending on how far I have to go for work Hell I done put 2050 in 5 trips working on my cousins house in East Naples, when I took my roof crew down we left at 2AM and they slept most of the way down, got there at 5:30 got some breakfast and waited for the sun to come up, did 18 square 40 year shingles, cleaned up and back in the truck headed back to Orlando a 2 PM.

You have to go a long distance to get jobs nowadays.

It shouldnt be hard to prove your side, especially in the longevity department. Everybody knows diesels will last forever if taken care of and gassers are usually good for about 200,000 or so and there done. Before the yelling starts I'm not sayin all the time, but usually

I can prove the longevity of diesels already but I need some numbers to make a factual claim, and what better place to conduct a sample poll than here.

i do 12 a year

greasemonkey 11-11-2009 05:31 PM

So far I've been doing about 35-40k a year. Purchase price, repairs, upgrades, maintenance and fuel, my 93 W250 costs within $.02/mile what my '05 Suzuki SV1000 sport bike costs.

cummins95 11-11-2009 06:41 PM

i couldnt believe it but i put over 30k on in the first year i had mine
