Need some prayers guys
 

Well this has been the month from heel for me and my family. My uncles truck blew the engine in Florida and I had to go down and rescue the trailer and Horses he was hauling. My father was making the run because my uncle had 5 broken ribs thanks to a horse. On our way back from Florida, I got a phone call from my uncle telling me that my grandfather (my fathers dad) had passed away... Very unexpectedly. It made for a very rough drive back, but emotionally and physically. As the eldest grandson I delivered the Eulogy, which was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life.

Just as things started to settle down and our minds clear, I was hospitalized yesterday morning after waking up in writhing pain. Turns out I have a testicle infection, which could be cancerous. Of course my father is having a tough time with it, as is my mother. This is the most painful feeling I've ever dealt with, I literally passed out in pain as the urologist proceeded to squeeze the shit out of my ball.

I'm on bed rest until further notice, if the swelling and pain don't recede in the next 3-5 days, there is a good chance its cancerous, so this is where I need the prayers guys. Please keep me and my family in your prayers this week, and I'll let you guys know how I am as soon as I find out.

Thanks everyone. I'm still in a pretty rough state, but it appears that the anti-biotics might be working, I have a little bit more energy and my fever is reducing slowly, but steadily. It seems like everyones prayers are helping, and my family and I are eternally great-full. Thanks everyone!

Well its been a few weeks... I'm getting better. Nothing is cancerous, and my health is okay. They put me back on anti-biotics, but they make me feel awful.

As far as the truck goes... Apparently the engine had sat a while and got water (condensation possibly) in it. So there was a rust ring around the #1 and #6 cylinder which now needs to be stripped... The shop that has the engine is quoting me $5000 to fix the new engine and put it in the truck... And thats if nothing else is wrong.

They had to pull the head already. Now they have to pull the pistons, put in new rings, new rod bearings, mill the head, do a valve job, ball hone the cylinders, and put it all back together with new gaskets. I'm at a loss, between the engine, the repairs, and the downtime, its gonna be well over $10,000.

The only silver lining, and its certainly not a good thing, is that with my grandfather passing, he left his sons a small amount of money. Hopefully that will cover the costs to repair the truck. Again... Definitely not a great thing, but it is what it is.
