i was wondering if anyone know of anything i can do to make this work better without spended to much money.. i have a 102" whip on this radio! it works pretty good just wondering if there is anything i could do to help it out?

 

put an amp on it or take the radio to a shop to get it boosted what are your swr's right now a linear amp will get you out there but dont get a high power amp

Stop dumping money into the Cobra, they have gone way downhill.......Buy a Galaxy 959 with an Astatic 636L mic and a Wilson 5000 antenna.
If you cant afford that, at least upgrade your antenna to a Wilson 2000 and tune your SWR. Wilson is currently top rated in the market. I run Wilsons on my dump trucks and I have a tricked out Galaxy 959 in my pickup truck.
