Remember when you got a hack in school for misbehaving, then autographed the paddle like the other "cool" people?

Remember when the high school football coach could grab you by the facemask and whack you on the earhole to get your attention, not get fired for abusing children?

Remember when school bus drivers could pull over and discipline the students for misbehaving, not get fired for abusing children?

Remember when if something said 'CAUTION: HOT' and you messed with it & got burned you were made fun of, not made into a millionaire?

1.45 minimum wage, was that back in the 30s

handymanherb 10-12-2009 05:43 AM

30's try 70.s I remember at working for that and still had a little left over, but then we weren't supporting all these illegals and house wouldn't fall apart in a few years do to piss poor work standards

But then I remember driving 9 MPG cars but you didn't care at 25 cents a gallon, even at the normal price of 35 cents you could get by with friends chipping in.

Now the tax on gas is more than that a gallon

Remember when you could fix just about anything in the driveway or house with $20 worth of tools.:rocking:

Remember when you could buy the parts to fix your auto without hearing the words "It's a dealers item".:argh:

Remember when going into the hardware store you could actually buy the stuff you needed to fix things around the house. Now you just go to the depot or lowe's and jsut buy a new one because it's easier than trying to find the parts for something or finding someone who acutally knows that they make parts to fix the thing.:s:

Since Jeff Foxworthy came along nothin, everybody wants to be a redneck. Before him it was an insult no different then a few other names I can think of. You know back when bad meant it was bad and gay didn't mean you were happy about somebody that looked just like you.

ArizonaRedneck 12-07-2009 10:22 PM

i was a redneck before foxworthy was famous so you must be talking about all them rednecks that came out of the closet when foxwothy said i will make you famous right. i have been wearing my bibs fixing things with duct tape and bailing wire forever.Once a redneck always a redneck. I have been proud to be redneck even when like uncle bubba said it wasnt cool thing to be.and how can anybody with a picture of a hound picking his nose standing in the front door and going by uncle bubba not know a little about being a true redneck:yeah::rocking::rocking: remember i remembered to use remember
