anybody messed with this stuff..............I just ordered close to 400 bucks worth of stuff so I can totally re-do my cabin........my friend has the crimping pliers so I am just gonna borrow them

I've never heard this before...thats scary cause its all under my house slab and in the walls... 7 years old now.

I have yet to hear of a failure with the Pex pipe, a few problems with poor install procedures but not the products fault. The stuff for in-floor slabs is different than just the regular stuff.

I agree. Pex will stand up to alot, provided the installation is done correctly. Make sure that you treat the fittings correctly and you should be fine. Are you gonna be on well water or city water? Like any other piping, if you have excessive minerals in your water, it is gonna affect the life of the pipe and fittings. If the water has a high mineral count or high TDS (total disolved solids), you might consider a softner.
