Apple - iPhone - Share your Internet connection with your laptop.

Now you can share the fast 3G connection on your iPhone with your Mac or PC and connect to the Internet from just about anywhere — no Wi-Fi required.

Tethering is not currently offered in the U.S. and some other countries. See your carrier for availability.

you can hack the G1 phone to tether, i just havent done it yet i dont know why

yea...you shouldn't have to hack a phone to tether...you also shouldn't pay anymore than the required data plan either though.

so your saying when i do get a phone it should be a blackberry and not an iphone?

Yes, our computer engineer at work found this out the hard way (this was a few years ago) - he ended up running up a 8 THOUSAND dollar bill in ONE MONTH.

get a black berry get the unlimited data plan and then you can use it as a modem works ok but it does work

dont get the blackberry curve from verizon though it works ok but not that great...but the verizon plan is like 110 a month
