Your Camping with your 11 Year old son

In the middle of the night His Scream Wakes you ...

"Somethings Pulling me out!"

Then Zip hes gone

You Open up the tent and see your boy huddled up in a ball with a huge Bear About to attack him ....

You have no weapons Not even a Ball Bat

What Would You Do at this point ?

As a Father I know what i would of done this is not one of them you have to be there things , I would of jumped right down the bears throat and filled him up .

The Father/Mother Child Bond is Unbelievable and unless you have kids you have no idea. I would glady even pay any amount of money to be able to spare my sons life by giving my own.

I can only say that I agree with you 150%, and I am a daddy too. I still don't understand that bear attack thing, I saw it on the news. Some people just don't belong in the outdoors at all.

Granted the Guy was his Step Dad , Im not one so Im unsure of the Auto Bond there .... I bet if you were a step dad for a long time you would feal the same way ?

I have been a step dad too, but even with that aside all together. What kind of person would not do what he could for a CHILD in that situation, whether they are the parent or not?

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be argumentative about this. It is only my point of view and that is all.

reguardless if it was a child. any human or even if it was my dog. i would make some attempt to protect 'em.

I say don't go camping without a gun...as long as you know how to use it. That aside my step dad would fight that bear to the death like any MAN should.
