we qualified 3rd after a bunch of guessing, crutching and im sure a prayer or too......sadly some jackhole decided to forget how to drive and make our 70K dollar late-model look like a trophy truck (i was 15 seats up in the stands and could see the driveshaft as BJ jumped the guys rear tire) and cost the team about 5K in repairs, the front clip came up and hit the balancer shattering it, ruined the steering unit and lines, and tweaked everything, so the car had to go to Port City in Michigan to get reclipped......luckily all the motor needed was a new balancer....

Is that paint or a wrap?

if its paint thats alot of money for a full bodied race car...ive loaded my friends sprint car in the trailer many times with some parts missing or slightly bent:argh:

Well, being as their ass sponsor is a body shop, who's to say.....I've seen some expensive stuff get cracked up...and B.J. has more money than brains--yep I said it--so ya never know.

Well, having been around racing all my adult life, I reccomend magnafluxing that crank. It took a shot, which can cause unseen damage, which will make itself known at the most inoppurtune time, usually leading with a couple laps to go, in a very big race.
Seems like every brand new car gets a hit like that. Had the whole front end torn off mine, right after installing a complete new body. Never even scratched the old body, just wanted to update.

not really cause he is friends with the painter.....who is your friend with the Sprint Car, I know a few guys around the New Holland area that races at 35 in Frankfort.....I used to work there......

you know BJ? he just likes having nice stuff, plus the sponsor bought all 3 cars new this year so it wasnt out of his pocket.....

oh dont worry, the crank was checked, checked again, then checked one more time to be sure......

You wouldnt know him races up north at Sharon Speedway, thats where i grew up, its the track that Dave Blaney owns.

Ive never really made it to any races up north, back when i was doing the racing thing alot i was also in high school and working so i didnt have much time ormoney, plus no one at my school was into racing like i was......

is that the only dirt track around here, i would like to go to some down here but dont really know of any

there is also Eldora NW of Dayton, there is a few down in Adams and Brown county also.....look around on google and you should be able to pull some up.....

from the satelite views of 35 that thing looks tiny i know it only say 1/5 of a mile but damn lol

it makes for some decent racing, i still got alot of buddies racing down there, the next time im at home i think im gonna pop in and say hi to some of them......

i thought we were supposed to have a get together in Court House sometime

i didnt make it to ohio this R&R, i will be ohio next spring maybe, but i can tell you that i will be there for the '10 Highland County Fair come hell, high water, or jesus himself......

actually im the only one that will tell him that he is being a douche bag and acting like a little kid, like all race car drivers do from time to time.......:pca1:

I didnt know Port City was still in business. My first LM was a port city. Biggest pile I ever had. I havent even seen a Port city in a few years, let alone a new one. Is that what most ppl run in FL?

Port City was bought and reopened i guess, they are alot better now from what i understand, i know alot of guys in florida had FLF cars cause Racecar Engineering in Lakeland is a dealer.....

It's the wall and the speed and the methanol fumes....it messes with our heads...

Not to mention the know-it-all crewmen who always know how to do it better. :pca1:

never said i knew it all.......i just know when you qualify in the top 10 and there is 30+ cars in the field from 20 states and canada and he load the car on the trailer cause he didnt qualify 1st or 2nd, i got a right to call him whatever i want after spending my money to drive 2 hours to help him.......

We have a guy like that...if he doesn't qualify in the top 5 he loads up and goes home....
