Twin sticking in street truck....

I know there was some videos posted up at one time but NOW you can have one in your street truck if you own a ford or chevy (or something with a ford 4 speed or Chevy 4 speed or NV4500)

Ranger Overdrive

Here is how it would go if you had a NV4500:

Start out with the tranny in 1st/low and the splitter in 1:1, start accelerating, now shift the splitter into OD, accelerate more, now up shift the tranny into 2nd and down shift the splitter to 1:1, accelerate more, shift the splitter into OD, accelerate more, now up shift the tranny into 3rd and down shift the splitter box into 1:1, accelerate more, now upshift the tranny into 4th, accelerate more, now shift the splitter box into OD, accelerate more, now upshift the tranny into 5th and down shift the splitter box into 1:1, now accelerate more, now up shift the splitter box into OD.......you are now in Double Overdrive......

like a five speed two speed rear. i always liked them. logan have you ever drove the ones with the first three split like a super ten and four and five split after. 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7th shift 8th, split, back to four (9th), shift to top (10th) i had a seven yard dump with one and a 454 gasser

This could be a hot item for the pullers!

would probaly work good pulling as long as it has no lag between shifts or if you dont have to get out of the throtle like in a semi splitig low to hi

hmmm. this would give me a theoretical top speed of 145 mph :tttt:

80 at 1500 rpm. that'd be sweet. :U:

Would they handle the tq of a pulling truck?

You cant shift a manual anyway Ashley, I meant it would be nice to have a gear in between gears to fine tune the truck, yuo know 3rd low might be to low but 4th low might be to high, just split em!

find a semi truck with a super ten. thats what you would have. most truck drivers hate the super ten, slow spits, but i love them. high over drive and lazy gear changes. you only have to move the shifter four times for ten gears
