thinking of selling my rig

I would like little to no payment. I pay $420 a months and have very little free cash. I would like to sell this while it still has low miles and the extended bumper to bumper warranty. according to KBB its worth $21-22. it only has 60k. I love it but would rather own something istead of owe.
The very least I will do is refinance for lower interest. I still have 4 years left.

is it worth it? should I do it. I would like to get another cummins.

4 years is still a long time to be making strokes. if you calculate out how much interest you'll pay by the time you get the principal paid, you'd probably cry. if you don't have much free cash, double or 1.5 payments are probably not an option. when I get a vehicle loan, I like to get the longest term as they usually get a lower interest rate (lower rate but you pay more if you go full term) and then make double payments every month.

I sold my 2nd gen because I didn't want to make payments, had it about half way paid off. sold it and paid cash for my 1st gen, sure it's not as nice but I hold the title and I'm not blowing money into interest, either.

not only did I pay cash for my truck but now I have a pretty nice sport bike, too.

Bill if your dead set on sellin it then unload it when the right offer comes. Go buy yourself a nice 12v or 24v and don't look back. Besides, you'll get better mileage :5:

I wouldnt mind financing 10k. half my payment would help. but yeah I thought about a 2000-2003 with decent mileage

I only owe 14k on this one. so I am in a good position to sell and have some money for down payment.

You know what you have.Keep it pay 11/2 payments and get it payed off.

GRI 06-01-2009 02:39 PM

I am going to keep it. I have 3.5 years left and the local bank will refinance it for 4 years with a 2% less interest rate and my payment will be half. So now I can make 1 or two extra payments a year and be done at the same time. :U:
