ebay question

my brother was going to buy something on ebay. he made the bid that was for like $5 and $25 for shipping. the item ended last week and he is unable to afford it at this time due to job reasons. what is the worst that can happen from not paying for the item if the seller decides to turn it over to ebay?

Have him contact the seller directly and explain his situation. Usually, it can be worked out. They've changed the feedback rules lately, so I'm not sure how it will affect his feedback rating.....

he contacted him about it and the guy said he has 2 days before he will turn him over to ebay, is the worst they can do is shut your account down?

you get a negative rep or something...dumber than hell..

ok thats all i was thinking as well, but i just wanted to make sure they cant do anything other than negative fedback and close your account

Chief Engineer 05-27-2009 10:51 AM

pretty much just a "negative feedback rating" I believe, which equates to "STOP or I'll say STOP again!"

Why not just give him the 30 bucks? :humm:

he will likely get negative feedback from the seller and possibly a non paying bidder strike. If you get too many strikes you will get your account closed. Also sellers are not supposed to charge extra for shipping. you may be able to get the strike removed if your case is that you feel shipping is way too much.

Best to follow through with the commitments your make

I don't think sellers can give buyers feedback anymore. I think you just get a nastygram from ebay.

BTW, you always have to check out the S&H fees on items before you bid. Lots of sellers really stick you for these.

well the dude turned it in to ebay and they said to pay or they will post negative feedback :D:late::dd::loco::ha:
