Heard this band on the radio the other day and this chick can sing! I hate to say it but im a fan of a few of the "chick" rock bands out there but hey it's still rock, right? Anyways check her band out. They're from red lion, Pa.

Heard them on the radio. Pretty good I thought. But then again I have a fondness for female fronted Hard Rock/Metal bands.

 

Hmmm... Nothing groundbreaking on the punkish-metal instrumentation front, but there is skill there that could benefit from leaning towards their more creative, more technical (not as punk) songwriting. Instrumental production is much clearer than most metal acts; major bonus when you can pick out the bass from the lead. Anything with female vocals gets a major bonus from me, although vocals could be less modulated and constricted in production. Still, her voice is more dynamic than the ever-popular Amy Lee, both in production and actuality. I like the lyrics, much in the Evanescence vein, only the poetry is of above average construction. And the frontchick is a serious hottie.

I really like this band and think they're ready for the national scene.

Just checked out arch enemy. Killer music but she sounds like the weird guy/thing from lord of the rings

 

Another "chick" band to check out if you like it a little heavier is "Kitty"

 

Kittie is pretty good. Arch enemy is good but I'm not as fond of them.
