Renters Insurance

I posted this question on that other diesel site that I used to cruise but I'm currently too effed up to search for it.

Who would ya'll recommend for renters insurance? Got some powersports toys in the garage, tools, and musical instruments that i should really be covered. My roommate is broke as hell but from what i've seen its not too much and I guess I will cover it, I don't want to be totally effed when I come home and all my ish is gone.

Most of the companies are compatible, just wondering who I should go with. Seems pretty cheap...

I would sugest it I think its worth it and I only pay like 15 a month through USAA, my buddy of mine just called me today and his garage flooded last night and ruined a lot of stuff and he doesnt have renters insurance so he's SOL

If you're eligible, USAA's customer service can't be beat.

I would suggest FULL REPLACEMENT insurance.

Just make sure you get everything they cover or don't cover in writing. I know around here its night and day difference from Renters INS and Home Owners. When I use to rent the INS companys around here would only cover my stuff in case of a Fire. If I was robbed I was SOL.

yeah make sure you're stuff is covered in the event of theft, fire, flood, blah blah blah. who do you get your auto insurance from? most of the larger auto insurance companies will offer all kinds of insurance, especially renters. I have State Farm, they have a million different kinds of insurance.

just last year the house my two friends and I were renting got robbed and my roommate's state farm policy covered everything that was stolen.

what they did was give us a payment for the depreciated value for everything we claimed. so I'll use one of my paintball guns as an example, I got $30 for a used marker that would cost $100 new. if I went and purchased a new one and submitted the receipt, they'd send me a check for the difference. worked great for us and State Farm was really good to deal with.

cool I will check it out. My auto insurance is on my dad's policy through a local place in mt. For me to get insured here is no joke 10x more. :booo:
