Want to do something fun, try to get external RAID cards to work with Linux sometime...

No not all computers running Linux are MAC, But MAC is Unix based

It can be done, but not by just anyone. A lot of coding would be involved on that one.

You try something fun, Try getting Windows to work properly.

People have debated this topic back and forth for years now. People have to choose an OS for whatever they are going to do with it. 90% of home users will never know or care to know what Linux is, just because it might be a little different to learn. Most people will continue to buy windows based computers and be completely happy with them. A lot of people refuse to pay for software, and like Linux since it is 100% free.

I personally run Mac OS X Leopard, OpenSUSE Linux, RedHat Linux, Ubuntu 9.04 Beta, WinXP and WinVista. I run them all from one computer. ( I do a lot of software testing ) There has only been a couple of Windows based programs that I haven't been able to get to work correctly Linux (they were working, just not 100% like they should)

If you like your Windows based computers and don't want to completely erase your hard-drives to install Linux, you can download and Live CD, Linux can run from a CD and it will not install anything on your computer. I would like to see you do that with a Windows CD without having to install it on your hard-drive.

I ran the PC's for years, until I finally got torqued off this spring and bought an old G4 Mac just to try it out. It runs a gig of memory, 555mghz processor, and it does what I need better than any of my PC's. My last PC was from De** and it bit the dirt only a year old. It is now a $1200.00 paperweight. Over $600 to fix. Mac is so simple, no anti virus, no registry problems, and runs anything I want to run. Made a believer of me....8 year old Mac problem free, year old PC paperweight.:ok1:

^^X2. Basically it boils down to what you're used to. I would find it difficult to transition between work 'puter and home 'puter if they were different OS's. So I'm gonna stay a PCer.
