Default What Laptop?

Whats a good cheaper laptop? It would mainly be used for surfing the net, but not limited to watching dvd's and downloading pics from my cam on it as well. I'm just looking for some suggestions on a good one for under 450ish and has at least a 15" screen. Thanks

Look at a Toshiba A series or P series Satellite. The A will be a little bit cheaper than the P series, but they will do what you're wanting. If you're not fond of Vista, and would rather run XP, PM me.

We've had 6 or 7 Toshibas over the years, and they are by far the most durable I've found yet. You might try looking on here for one Fry's Home Electronics | Computer Parts & Accessories, Software, Games, TVs, Cameras - Frys.com I've had them with both the AMD and Intel Processors and have been very happy with them.

Here's one I found for 499.
