i didnt hear of it until today either.....sounds like a deusey!!!

good luck fellow DBers!

NickH 03-31-2009 09:29 PM

1) Keep your anti-virus software updated.
2) Run all Windows security updates.
3) Do not click on it if you don't know what it is or who it's from!

Follow these three rules and you will stay in good shape and should stay out of it's path. :ok1:

Mac users realy don't have these issues since most of these things are geared towards Windows users.

BlackDodge 03-31-2009 09:31 PM

One thing i did learn about it is that it doesn't effect MAC's, only PC computers.

txredman 03-31-2009 09:46 PM

They said it doesn't infect others by what you do on pc - the worm goes on its own know matter what. I think i got it cause i tried to go to the microsoft website and couldn't update! :argh::bat::madd::ph::ouch:

CumminsCrazed 03-31-2009 09:51 PM

yankeeflatsdiesel 04-01-2009 01:35 AM

was just reading that if your comp is infected and have a firends who is not they can log onto the websites that offer a program to delete the virus and they can email it to you and then download the fix. hope we all get lucky but from the sounds of things it has been out there for a while now.:madd:

Because its already installed on millions of computers worldwide - I would imagine that happened before anyone even knew about it.

countrygirl34 04-01-2009 05:41 PM

I heard about it last night for the first time and while watching tv this morning the news stations computers had been infected by it. But I'm lucky so far!

Diesel Dawgs Performance 04-01-2009 08:10 PM

Make sure your Anti Virus is up to date, and also Windows is up to date.

Red_Rattler 04-06-2009 08:26 PM

Well I think my laptop is screwed.... All I get is the blue screen of death on it and it says something about new software installed may be the cause of the problem even though I havn't installed any on it in a long time. It won't even run in any sort of safe mode or trying to revert back to known settings when it worked correctly... F-ME! :argh: God Damn computer hacker B.S. :gunner: :fu:

busta 04-06-2009 08:55 PM

you have the restore disk that came with the laptop?
do you have a copy of the operating system any where or know someone that might have a copy of windows xp,vista what ever came on it?
if you can find a copy of the operating system somewhere ya might be able to repair it :w2:
