I just came back from AB over the weekend. This is what I found, the market in so far as engineering is concerned is very unstable. Many are working, many are not. Some salaries are stupid high while others aren't so. Housing is almost to the point where living in a camper on your truck is about the only thing you can do and oh the traffic in Calgary was stupid.

Perhaps the north is a bit different and it sucks about your job but I will say this, it is good what you did with the girl and hit the streets looking because you may find it difficult.

Its the same up north....I make more money than a good deal of regular Albertans and I cant really afford to buy a house. 425+ for a SHACK...might have to go back to Hanna :se::se::se:
