Now Totaled 96 12 Valve

Well first of all i'm new, from south western Ohio. I added some photos of my old 12 valve Cummins to an album under my profile name, but from the comments and ppl requesting in comments, i figured i'd post, an give an insight on the pictures & a little story behind it all.

Story: March 21,2008:
I worked for a school district, once i graduated high school myself, doing computer work on PC's. Well as we all know, when the kids are out, teachers/staff usually have to work, but I didn't have to unless called in. It was spring Break for the kids, which meant me as well. Me being 19 at the time, i hadn't quiet got the grown man brain, still young and dumb thinkin i was invincible (most guys get that attitude until a reality check)... So i partied my first night off of work, and decided to Drive, which spelled disaster when you had built a truck to run, and i ran er' to the max. The girl i was dating i was on my cell with her, reading my speeds off, last speed read was 110mph on a wet and rainy road. No seat belt and drunk, spelled disaster.

This was When the paramedics found me. I got this photo cause i have a good friend that's a paramedic & he wouldn't come to the truck because i had no heart beat.

Somehow i made it out of this.... Fractured my skull which gave me brain damage for a couple years until head is healed, broke left arm in two places, and fractured my right leg (thigh bone)

A month in the hospital, knocked out for 3 of the weeks. Had to re-learn pretty much everything that we all learned in elementary school all thanks to brain damage.

All the pictures were taken by friends when i was in the hospital.

And i know ya'll will ask, but yes i've learned a great lesson, and taught a great one to alot of people in my town, and surrounding towns about drinking and driving... Also, now doing small presentations to high school kids, as i got a new job elsewhere, and the school district wanted me back to try to teach the kids something from my stupid mistake.

Glad you made it out of it a better man and real glad it was tree's and not another car. No better way to make up for our stupid stuff we do though, then to try to prevent others from doing the same dumbass things so good on ya for that. That's what these boards are all about.

Nice to see ya made it here, Hope ya spend some time.

I've done the same thing before. I didn't get hurt near as bad and the truck wasn't as bad. But much like you I learned my lesson. Too bad it had to be the hard way, but some guys have to be taught that way. Glad you got out alive also!

Wow man! Glad that you're still with us and that you're applying the lesson you learned.

This makes me remember the day I quit drinking and driving. I woke up at 80 mph in the opposite lane of a 2-way highway. It was 3 am and I was inches from driving completely off the road and down a 10 foot embankment.

Yeah, i thank god every day that i took no one else out... I learned my lesson, the very hard way, but everything happens for a reason. I'm trying to take my second chance, and will hopefully at least get through to one kid, like you've all said, one can make a difference, if i get through to one kid, then i helped someone.
