It appears like she was only married for a short time and went right back to her maiden name shortly thereafter. This was almost 18 years ago that she was married though. I've tried and failed to find any info on him either. Have a married last name but that's it.

Thinkin that with some help here that we've got her tracked down to the Southern Missouri area. West Plains to be exact, but still no address or phone number.

As for the media. I wish I were that brave. These boards are about as public as I can bring myself to get in life. Not that if I came down to a last resort I won't do whatever I have to do but it would be a struggle.

Don't know if it's been mentioned or not(I'm being lazy and haven't read every single post) but if you know anyone who is a skip trace that would be a big help. A neighbor of mine when I lived in Dallas did that for a living, and he had resources most people in the public sector don't have.
You might also try online phone directories such as the one on dogpile, by entering a name with no address.. That will usually bring a bunch of listings up.
