My dad had one they are real finicky for the first several years, they have to be brought in where it is warm in the winter for a couple of seasons. My dads did not live to grow 18 feet in a year good luck.

my mother bought me one and had it sent down. i kept it indoors in thier packaging in a cool dark place until a couple of weeks ago. in that time it started to grow in three different spots about 3". i planted it, hooked up drip line to it, and within 4 days it just looks like a dead 6" tall tree. it has only gotten down to a minimum of like 40 deg. hell i dont know, everything else has grown like crazy. good luck

So often ads like that are deceiving cause they tell you what it can do in the PERFECT growing climate and environment. One thing to also keep in mind, MOST trees that are FAST growing are short lived trees. The Hybrid Poplar is a perfect example of that. I have seen several planted and with in 15 years they reached maturity and died.It is fun to watch a tree grow fast like that and make drastic changes from one year to the next, but as a Forester we advise a slower steady growth to maturity to produce a stronger and high valued tree............. One more thing, I hope they DO stand behind their tree and replace it if it dies for what they are charging ya............ I was hoping when I looked the link up they would have the genus and species listed so I could cross reference what Family of trees it belongs to.

Thing is DM,,,,,,,,, down in your area Aspen grows native. So it should grow very well there. Plus Aspens are a cousin to Cottonwood which also is a fast growing tree.
