doh! I have got to be the luckiest dumb person in here. I counted 2 triangles twice and missed 2 others :argh:

I got lost once i started pairing up 9 individual triangles. Truth is I don't know the answer. :pca1:

SOLUTION:

27 triangles.
There are 16 one-cell triangles, 7 four-cell triangles, 3 nine-cell triangles, and 1 sixteen-cell triangle.

Yeah but there is three sides to every triangle. :humm:

I got 26.

I don't know the actual answer why I posted it up see if anyone else did. I feel like I need to hire a Asian Math Expert to figure it out.

count the lines inside the triangle, and mult by the sides of the triangle
