GPS Mount
My Garmin Street Pilot finally bit the dust after 6 years. They quit supporting or updating my maps 2 years ago, so none of the new streets were on it anyway. The touch screen wouldn't do what your finger told it to and the remote control only half works. So, I decided to get a new Garmin.
Walmart, online has the Garmin Nuvi 760 for $248. So, I bought it. Anyway, my old GPS had a sandbag mount that I stuck a piece of velcro on the dash to help hold it in place. Naturally, the old sandbag doesn't fit my new one. The new GPS only has this suction cup windshield mount. At 5'11", I'm not a short guy, but if I place the GPS out of my line of vision, I have to sit up and stretch to touch the screen. Where do you guys have your GPS mounted and how, if not via the suction cups? Give me some ideas. I have an 07 CTD. Thanks |
i just let mine sit on the dash in the suction cup thing :w2:

I know all of our Garmins come with a smooth stick on piece of plastic that glues to the dash for the suction cup....

Outa the way, doesn't block my site line, within easy reach for sure. I never understood how some people can put it in the middle of the windshield imo its just in the way and another thing to have to look around/block my view
