Ever wonder why the EPA and the general public dont like diesels??? - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together |
Shit like that is going to kill what little bit of life this hobby has left in it. I'm assuming the person coming out of the store was an innocent bystander, not to mention it probably filled the area between the doors up with smoke for whoever else was coming out.
It has to stop. Every time I see this stuff I think of the Tread Lightly organization and how badly we need spokespeople so us diesel heads will remember to respect others. I can see doing it on back roads or at competitions..I can even see letting some tailgating asshole have a face full, but this kind of stuff can't keep happening. |
I agree.....their are just too many D-bag pathetic idiots out there ruining it for alot of us!.........:ph:

I don't know anybody else's experiences here but I spend a good amount of time drivin rental cars around the country. Although I love my truck, it's just a fact that as a group we diesel truckers have gotten rude as hell. I can't even count how many times I've been cut off, crowded over, smoked for no reason and everything else. and it's most of the time not even by gasser trucks but a fellow diesel jockey. We've gotten arrogant and rude as hell towards the general population gassers and it's killin us.

It's ridiculous and the morons who drive diesel vehicles are going to find themselves on the wrong side of an ass-whooping, and it won't be coming from individuals, it will be coming from the government and law enforcement. So sad that idiots have to ruin everything good about living in the U.S. |
This is why I can't stand reading all these new threads titled "How can I get my truck to smoke more".........Some peoples kids should be locked in the attic.....:c:
|
And to think......He tried to call ME out!
Im glad you guys think the same way I do. After SDX this year, I changed my mind a LOT about smoke on the street! |
I am with you boss.....I mean...I like the smoke, don't get me wrong but there is a time and place! With all that is going on it needs to stop!
And for that moron that tried calling you out.....what a douche...I mean really....:ph: |
There's definately a time and a place for smokin. But i still lovvvve smokin people out who deserve it :choochoo:.
|
Best part about all this is....They guy owns a Diesel Shop! His youtube channel has a video of his buddy getting arrested after smoking out a cop!
After being bashed for 100 and some odd posts, they still wouldnt get it! He even had all his dronies come on and try and say it was 'Funny" and "Harmless" |
Yea I realized he had his pathetic buds join as well.....not hard to tell with like 2 posts and who they were stickin up for! Some peoples kids......:argh:.....I don't get it!....:ph:

The comment on youtube way to show off in your dads truck, I was cracking up over that :D But yeah theres no way he can defend that kind of thing

I think there is a time and a place for smoke. I smoke people out who deserve it but i try not to give too much of a puff to the undeserving. I have however been known just to blow smoke for the fun of it.:sorry: If our sport is to grow i think we need to figure out how to get smoke under control or the Government will:argh:. I think education on why smoke is bad is a key but I myself have no idea how to go about it.:humm:
|
The education has been tried. The problem is that you always have the influx of newbies and the only reason they bought a diesel is because the smoke was cool. You can't change their minds. And right now these trucks used are goin cheap enough that we have a mass amount of newbies hittin the scene.
Not that I'm against new blood at all but at some point we need to change the reasoning for them coming on board from being about all the cool smoke and more about the potential of these trucks when they don't smoke. |
the only time id like to see smoke out of mine is when i want it to. do i smoke people out yes. i blew as much smoke as mine can on xzaq tonight, in his truck. which aint a whole lot right now. what the thread was started on, thats stupid as hell. how the hell would they know if it was say, the mayor of the town. the mayor could pass the law that it would be a big ass fine in the town for doing it. then what. then u couldnt even do it around your buddys, to see how much ya can blow on them. me, it wouldnt have bothered to be smoked out standing there. i love the smell of it. but to others, especialy the ones driving prius'es and the rest of those kinds of people it is outragous to them.
|
I surely don't smoke.... I really don't try too. I really love my trucks and my gas burner was not cutting the mustard. For those that do, "time and place for it" sounds like a good idea. Shaking the tail feathers in their faces (epa, feds, cops) your bound to get kicked in the butt sooner or later.
--------------------- "Originally Posted by AOsipower View Post .If "ricers" could blow smoke I guarantee this is what they would do...congratulations.... -Alex" Ref: to the ricers.... They became involved with a local cruise scene here. Most were younger, like to do burnouts and other antics that caused more eyes on scene by the local cops. More they did, the more the cops showed up. Subsequently the meeting location was shutdown and hot rods were forced to move on. Little off topic I know, but point is unwanted attention of a few jokes with bad timing/location generally causes more damage than the greater numbers want. Needless to say when the hot rods moved on, the tuners were not invited. It's a shame really, there are some really talented folks among them too. Not my cup of tea, but I admire the workmanship some of them put into their cars. Peace |
