Why did your dad plant the tree right outside the garage door in the first place? :w2:

Just messing with ya, anytime you don't wreck a building or drop it on the truck you did good.:5:

I agree 100% about the rope!!! I cut A LOT of trees down. I've got a big chain saw, so friends etc. are always hitting me up to cut trees down for them!! I've got about 75 feet of 1" braided hemp rope that I use to tie off and pre load trees for felling!! I've also got a good "ratcheting come along" and sometimes I even use my tow strap for tree felling!!! Some of my friends say it's work, I actually kind of enjoy it!!

Good job!! :U:

We had to take one down beginning of fall this year. Angle of one of the limbs was towards the house. 1 angled cut, 1 snatch strap and 1 diesel truck... we were able to keep the limb from hitting the house. Heavy hit to the throttle missed the house by 4 feet. The rest of the tree fell towards the yard on a subsequent cut.

**Note: be darn sure to have more rope/strap than the tree is tall. Don't want to be the next Youtube clip of a crushed truck.

Good times!! :w2:
