Anyone ever break a toe

Yesterday I was doing a little inventory work in the shop and I had 5 gallon pails stacked 4 high full of epoxy. I went to move a stack and the top one fell and landed right on my fricken toe. yeah it hurt right away. It was sore last night but this morning it looks like I have 2 big toes. I can't even put my socks on yet. I'm sure there is nothing that can be done for it but time to heal. I've never broke a toe before. It hurts like a s.o.b.

yeah im not sure they can do much for a broken toe, so i would just try to keep off it for a little bit, :ouch:

Best thing to do is grit your teeth and tape it to the toe next to it. That will help support it ad keep it from healing crooked (like mine did).:ouch:

I'm now on my third broken toe, and you're right.
There's nothing they can do but tape it up.

My pops broke his big toe a few years ago. They put his whole foot in a cast.

Why weren't you wearin the steel toes. with them you could have just cut it off and then they could have re-attached that way you wouldn't have to worry about it bein broke.:humm:

I broke my toe & all they did was tape it to the next toe. It healed, but still lets me know it's there when it gets really cold out.

I had a 1" pin fall 8' and land on my left foot. I was helping my dad move a shelf tower and all I had on was socks. Lost the nail on the big toe and the other 4 hurt bad enough, they might as well have been broke.

Nope Ive never broken any bones , even after multiple 4 wheeler wrecks with no equipment on from ages of 8-15
