Maglight LED Conversion
Any of you guys have the Maglight LED conversion bulbs?? Are they worth the $$

Got me a 4 cell and the kit. Talk about bright and you can still focus the beam.:U:

Thats the thing I like a really bright light. I switched from Mag to Pelican and they were allright for a bit. Then got a couple of Streamlight LEDs and they are better. Believe it or not, some of my favs are cheapies from a discount store. $4 for a 19 LED light and they are pretty good (except the body is plastic).
I would like to upgrade my Mags though - mainly because they make a nice club. :bat::bat: |
Never done the conversion but LED's are definately the way to go especially for a work light
|
I do not have the conversion, I bought new LED Maglights a few weeks back and they are great.
|
I also got one of those dual light flashlights. Has a 5 led, 2nd click gets you 10, then the 3rd click has an xeon or incandescent. Thing I like about it most is if the batteries get weak, the leds are still bright, but the other bulb barely lights up.

Evil,
Is there a kit for the lights? If so, I'm in as I have a few mags that could use that.:U: |

Just spend the money for a Streamlight or a nice Sure Fire. They are a little more, but when I was in Iraq this last time we worked nights for 15 months straight, the nature of my job is inherently hard on flashlights. I had more problems with my Mag-lite, both with the LED and without. Everyone with the Sure Fires and Streamlights had no problems.
