Loctite On Doorknob Bolts

You know those two to four little screws that hold the doorknob assemblies together?

I was stalking around the house today with a screwdriver, as I do about once a month, tightening up all my loose doorknob bolts... And it struck me, why don't I Loctite those bolts?

Anybody ever put Loctite on their doorknob bolts?

It works best if you put it in the key hole. That way it gets the bolts real good. Go ahead and try it!:moon:

Just to make sure it holds use the Green Loctite :U:

Just wait until your significant other wants to change something during a remodel or a quick purchase at Lowes - You will HATE yourself for doing that!! LOL

Um, what kind of doorknobs do you have that have BOLTS? Most Doorknobs have screws dont they? And the screws generally go into wood - I dont see how loctite is going to help you.

um, all the donobs ive seen have bolts, the doors have holes in the for the door nob, and the door nob presses itself on the door

I guess it depends on what kind of door and door knob you are talking about.

Yep, the green will make them easier to get apart should you ever need or want to. :w2:

Sounds like a good idea, I'd use the blue Loctite 242.
