3rd Shift
Just finished my first week on third shift at LEC, and it went pretty well, I figured it would be more of an adjustment than was. The biggest problem is I never know what day it is. Anyway got the weekend off and am looking forward to sleeping a little more.

Its hard getting adjusted to working at night. I had to totally black out my bedroom windows so no light could get in and I could sleep pretty good.
|
I did the same thing, works pretty good.

pretty soon you'll be able to sleep anywhere it wont matter about light, i slept thru the first 10 gas pulling trucks at the fair this year sitting on the bed of a truck about 50 ft from the starting line:nite:zzz

Yep pretty soon anywhere you can sleep you will.... My old boss at the towing company had me work till 2 one night and then come in at 7 in the morning. I really think he was tryin to kill me. lol night shifts are always fun

Night shifts are the best cause there aint no "big wigs" there for you to have to worry about gawkin over your shoulder when your working:w2:
|
Yea and generally the guys on night shift are laid back and like to have a good time so work goes by alot faster.
|
yep

I agree, I really thought my first week would be harder but it ain't that bad. Its pretty interesting so for the most part time goes by pretty quick, and it sounds like I will be moved in 2- 3 weeks to something different, and hope to be level 3 within a month or so.

OIC. Cool Cat, eh? I personally prefer the 3-shift, 4-midnight. Gives me time during the day to get stuff done, banking, shopping, running errands without the crowds. Of course there's only 800 pop. in my town. But when I lived down south in "the big city" it was more enjoyable. :rocking:
