The eye went right over Baytown. It's very hammered. :ouch:
Like I said go to HOUSTON, TEXAS NEWS | KHOU.com | News for Houston, Texas right hand side and stream the news as we see it.

Yard is cleaned up, branches are in a pile by the curb and ALL of are neighbors have done the same thing. :U: Unlike NOLA, our citizens work together and get the job done. :5: Still waiting on power, gen is doing well though.

Just thought I'd check in and let everybody know I'm ok. The worse of it has past as far as I can tell. At 4 p.m. the eye was almost right on top of us. I lost power about 1p.m., but other than that damage seems to be pretty minimal. Just a bunch of branches all over the place. Most parts of town still have power from what I've seen.
Glad to hear everybody down south is ok. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

Galveston is pretty much GONE. MASSIVE MASSIVE damage and it looks like most of it wasnt even there. Crystal beach, the Bolivar peninsula and EVERYTHING that was on the Galveston beach are now non-existent and you cant even tell that there were ever people living there. Kemah is destroyed and many of the exotic animals were lost. 90% of Houston is without power and they expect it to take a month to get it completely restored. I was fortunate enough to live near a hospital and be on their power grid so I finally got power back to my house. Only 400,000 people have power restored out of over 5 million. Lines at the gas stations are miles long because most of them dont have power to run the pumps. Right now water and ice are hot comodeties and are in desparate need of both. Millions of people are without food, water, power, fuel or phone service. Emergency crews are working round the clock and hospitals are struggling to keep up. We spend most of the morning with the company president accessing the damage to our faciliy and corp office. Massive trees everywhere and our Engineering building was destroyed. Even if we had power we would be limited in what we can produce. Its going to affect all our locations world-wide and delay producing thousands of oil/gas wells by a few months. This was almost as bad as the storm of 1900. Its going to take months to get back to normal and some area's will take years. Keep all those who have lost everything and family members in your prayers.
