American Soil In Iraq
 

Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny 'plot' of grass in front of his tent. It's heartwarming! Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq , stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt ( U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil -- to bring them good luck. If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted. Say a little prayer for our troops that give and give (and give up) so unselfishly for us.

Thats missin home for sure right there now.. dang.. Thank God for our soldiers! They have the most thankless job in the world for sure!

screw the media. yall mean everything to this country. im proud of all the men and women that give up familys that way my family stays as safe as can be. thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the service. i wish i had the chance to be in the service.

Thanks for posting this! It's always good to give everybody a little kick in the rear to rememeber our men and women over seas and here in the US defending our freedom.

Thanks man, i may not be in the sand box yet, but i am in Korea!! Smells like SH.. here, and there is no Blue Grass like Ky!! But i do have grass!! I am thankful for that! Thank you to all those who care for us "The Soldiers"!! And thanks to those Soldiers that are in the Box, I'll see ya soon enough!! :U::U::c:

I know what you mean Jon, I was stuck at Kadena in Okinawa, Japan for two years and I hated that place. I miss KY too, the part of TN I'm from is real close to there and VA, we used to go party up in the mountains in Harlan county KY and up around Black Mountain if you know where that is.

but you are now in beautiful downtown Tallil......the land of wet hooches, ciano's pizza and 3 big paladin guns..........
